Rod is Direct Marketing Manager at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, responsible for development and implementation of the company’s TMC, SMC and Print & Deliver programs as well as multiple niche products and solo mail. He has 28 years of advertising/publishing experience, the last eight in Fort Worth. Before joining the Star-Telegram, Rod published Real Estate magazines in over 14 cities across the country and spent the first 13 years of his career with his hometown newspaper.
A member of NTMC since 2007, Rod is a graduate of the University of Texas with a BS in Advertising. He is a life-long resident of Denton, Texas where he and his wife, Lori, recently celebrated their 25th Anniversary.
Adam is the Product Manager of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He has worked in the newspaper industry for nearly 17 years, spending the first seven at Lancaster Newspapers and the past last ten at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. In 2007, he transitioned from a Major Account Sales role into an Operations Management position. A year later, his role was expanded to oversee the sales efforts for P&D and direct mail programs under the banner of PG Direct. In his current role, he oversees BENN - the PG's digital & research in-house agency - to drive new and incremental business using an analytical data-first approach to best match solutions with client needs.
Adam is a 1996 graduate of Millersville University. He has been an NTMC member since 2010. He currently resides in the Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh with his fiancee, Malinda & their dog Lucy. They are scheduled to be married in October.
Harry is Target Marketing Manager at Baltimore Sun Media Group, working with the company’s preprint, TMC, community newspapers, and direct marketing programs. Joining the organization in 1991, Harry worked in various advertising sales positions, including several years serving major retail accounts. Prior to the newspaper industry, he worked with a local advertising shopper’s guide, and also in directory advertising. Harry has over 25 years of advertising/publishing experience. Active in the NTMC since 2006, Harry resides in Phoenix, MD with his wife, Brenda.
Paul's newspaper/TMC career spans 35 years. Upon graduating from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, MA, he joined the Circulation and Advertising Departments at The Sun in Lowell, MA. After 8 years he moved on to become Retail Advertising Manager for 5 years at The Telegraph in Nashua, NH, and then for a year at the Middlesex News (MetroWest Daily News) in Framingham, MA.
In 1992, Paul joined the staff at Headliners (now Globe Direct, a subsidiary of The Boston Globe newspaper) as a Field Sales Manager. He became Director of Sales in 2007 and was promoted to his current position as President in April of 2011. Globe Direct manufactures and distributes over 1.2 million shared mail packages weekly in the metro Boston marketplace. Globe Direct is also a full service direct mail house printing and mailing annually over 10 million pieces of promotional material for their direct marketing clients all across the country.
Camille Stinton’s career in publishing began in the 1980’s as sales and marketing representative for News America Corp, where she was responsible for distribution and marketing placement of magazines in the Ohio and Michigan markets, including the launch of the U.S. version of Elle. She moved to Marketing Manager of the Boston Herald when Rupert Murdoch acquired that property.
An opportunity to become Circulation Regional Manager brought her to Connecticut’s premiere newspaper, The Hartford Courant in 1987. She left in 1995 as Circulation Marketing Manager. The Orlando Sentinel’s sponsorship program needed a jumpstart which led Camille to Florida in 1996 where she increased sales significantly through a focus on retail and implementation of non-traditional marketing methods.
In 1998, Camille started her own consulting business, serving for six years as an independent evaluator for newspaper circulation operations throughout country. In 2004, she accepted the position of Publisher for The Register Citizen (Torrington, Conn.) and its affiliated publications, an opportunity to return to The Hartford Courant (now part of Tribune Company). In May 2005, Camille returned to the role of Circulation management, using her ability to develop multi-media campaigns, launch product enhancements and set strategic pricing to give a significant boost to the Courant’s circulation revenue.
In early 2008 she was asked to manage sales and operations for two significant Advertising business units within Tribune Company: ValuMail, and Direct Response. Today Camille oversees the Majors, National, Entertainment, and Shared Mail division of The Hartford Courant.
David Kiehle is currently a Sales Director with Michigan.Com and responsible for National and Regional Targeted Media Solutions which includes the largest Select program in the country, commercial printing, and various direct mail offerings. Previously he was Executive Director of Detroit Weekend Direct; a joint venture total market coverage program between Valassis and Detroit Media Partnership serving 1.5 million households in metro Detroit. David was also part of the senior management team at Lason Systems, Inc. In various roles David was responsible for integrating the sales, operations, and marketing offerings of 56 companies into a cohesive set of solutions designed to maximize cross-selling opportunities within the Business Processing Outsourcing space; including but not limited to off-shore data entry, document management, and system output. As a former programmer with EDS, David has a unique technology background that applies to many of the new digital solutions coming to market today.
David is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a concentration in Computer Information Systems and Marketing.
Katherine is the Preprint Sales Manager at the Star Tribune Media Company. In this role she oversees preprint and P&D product revenue, positioning, and development.
Katherine studied Journalism, International Relations, and Marketing at Miami University and was Editor-in-Chief of the school’s environmental publication. She brought her experience to the Star Tribune in 2011 as a summer intern and hasn’t left! In May 2015, Katherine was named as one of the Advertising Federation of Minnesota’s ‘32 under 32’ – influential leaders in advertising under the age of 32.
Executive Director, NTMC
Philip is the Executive Director for the NTMC, succeeding Angela Thomas in October 2008. He is a 1972 Bachelor of Arts graduate of the University of Florida. After a year in Circulation with the Jacksonville Journal, he worked in Circulation and Advertising for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution from 1974 until 2008. At the AJC, he helped develop and implement the REACH/TMC shared mail program in 1981 and managed the AJC’s target marketing, newspaper insert and direct mail operations. He has been active in the NTMC since its inception in 1998. He implemented the NTMC email listserv in 1999 and served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer from 2000-2002 and At-large member from 2004 until March 2008. He and his wife Faye were married in 1973 and reside in Decatur, a suburb east of Atlanta, GA.
